We are beyond excited to announce the launch of the brand new Wingly website! Over the past couple of years, you have given us great feedback on features that would improve your pilot experience. The Wingly team have listened, learned and worked tirelessly to build your requests into a whole new version of the app and website. We hope you enjoy discovering all the wonderful new functions!
Mark flight as “happened”
Now pilots will have to mark their flight as “happened” in order for the money to be transferred after the flight has taken place. This is to ensure you don’t have to worry about refunding passengers if flights get cancelled or rescheduled and can focus on the important things, like flying!
Unavailability calendar
This feature is particularly useful for those of you with multiple flexible flights. If you are going away on holiday or taking some time off, you can now ‘pause’ your flexible flights by creating an absence event on your availability calendar. This way, you don’t have to worry about bookings and request while you’re off relaxing.
Cost Calculator
The costs for your aircraft no longer have to be added during the ‘Add flight’ process. They are now saved in our database where you simply have to add your aircraft. Don’t worry, you will still be able to add additional costs such as landing fees or headset rental costs whilst creating your flight. This wil make posting flights a much easier process and you can post stunning flights for passengers to book.
Add a ‘Point of Interest’ to your flight
We are delighted to announce that you will now be able to add ‘points of interest’ on your flight route that your passengers will be able to see on a map! Create some amazing routes that you would like to fly.
Removal of flight requests
Version 2 focuses on the core of Wingly, which meant removing our flight request feature. We will study the impact of the removal of this feature, but if you feel flight requests are really missing from Wingly and that they were very helpful for you, please let us know and we can look at reinstalling an updated version. According to our data, your experience with Wingly will work best when you actively offer a number of flights, rather than responding to passenger enquiries.
New and improved messenger
For those of you with a Wingly inbox that’s full to bursting who have been requesting this feature for a while…you’re in luck! You will now be able to archive messages to keep your messenger overview clear so you can focus on the important messages.
Upload multiple pictures
You now no longer have to choose only 1 image to illustrate the beauty of your flights, you can choose up to 8 to show your prospective passengers the true magic of flying and give them a little insight into what a treat they’re in for!
New dashboard with stats
Information is everything. That is why we redesigned your dashboard and added some interesting and fun stats just for you.
Updating the Pilot App
We have developed a new Wingly App for Pilots. It is simpler, smoother and focuses on the key features that we noticed pilots were using on the App: Wingly messenger, pending booking requests to accept or refuse and managing your booked flights. So don’t forget to download our new Pilot App.
You can check out all the new features and more on the Wingly website.

It all looks very good and I look forward to using it, well done to the team
Thank you Steve !
Although I didn’t get around to accepting to a flight request, I liked the idea as it tempted me to look into flying to new places. If one had fitted my work/life schedule I certainly would have flown it.
So, if possible, I’d like to see this feature return.
Apart from that, I really like the new site and particularly being able to set ‘not available ‘ dates for all my posted flights
Hi Gary,
That’s great to hear you’re enjoying the new website! Thank you for this feedback, we will take it on board and look into adding back the flight request feature in the future.
Best wishes,
Emily
