Sharing his favourite tips with you for sightseeing flights with Wingly, Fabio an aviation aficionado pilot knows exactly how to make the most of your flight sharing experience!
This time he is sharing his favourite destination: Le Touquet, located on the north coast of France. The seaside town is also known as ‘Paris Plage’ for it’s popularity with Parisians seeking the sea and sand! 🌊🏖 Le Touquet has long been a holiday spot for the British too! 🇬🇧 The town was popular in the Twenties and Thirties, visited by the likes of Winston Churchill, P.G. Wodehouse and H.G. Wells.
During his last trip using Wingly, Fabio and his passengers visited Le Touquet and experienced quite the culinary tour! After exploring the beach they made a stop at the beach bar ‘La Plage des Pirates’ where his passengers enjoyed tasting some of the French wine.
Following this they dropped into Bakery Fred for some baguettes and continued to La Tavern Royale, pairing their baguettes with oysters and cheese.
Fabio’s Top Tips for Le Touquet:
-
Hire a bicycle and explore the beach 🚲
Explore the town and the beach on your bike via the well marked (and mostly flat!) cycling routes
-
Then ride your bike into the town centre 🏡
Discover the mixture of British and French influence through the architecture around the town, mock Tudor and art deco mixed with Normany beams
-
Eat a French crêpe at this family owned restaurant 🍽
You can’t visit France without trying some of the world famous cuisine! Try a crêpe at Aux Mignardises Saint Jean Crêperie, for the ultimate French experience!
-
Stock up on some delicious fromage 🧀
And of course stock up on some of the best cheese and butter available before heading home! Fabio recommends the Fromagerie Pasquier.
